JSON to Zustand converter
Generate a Zustand store from JSON
Paste JSON on the left. Get TypeScript types and a ready-to-use Zustand store on the right. Runs in your browser.
What is a JSON to Zustand converter?
A JSON to Zustand converter turns a plain JSON object (or array) into complete Zustand source code: TypeScript interfaces inferred from your data, an initial state snapshot, typed setter actions, and a reset helper. Instead of hand-writing the same boilerplate for every store, you paste JSON, copy the generated store, and keep building.
Everything runs locally in your browser — no JSON is uploaded, there is no signup, and it works offline.
How it works
- Paste your JSON (or load a .json file) into the left pane.
- Optionally set a store name — it becomes your hook (useAppStore).
- Copy or download the generated .ts file.
-
Connect it with
create(...)and call setters like setUser(...).
Frequently asked questions
How do I generate a Zustand store from JSON?
Paste your JSON into the input pane. The generator infers TypeScript interfaces for every nested object, unions for arrays, and an initial state — then emits the complete store code, ready to copy or download as a .ts file.
Is this JSON to Zustand converter free?
Yes — free, with no account and no signup. It runs entirely in your browser, and the source is public on GitHub.
How are TypeScript types inferred from JSON?
Primitive values map to boolean, number, and string. Arrays become
typed unions — for example [true, 'x', 5, null] becomes{' '}
(boolean | string | number | null)[] — and nested objects
are flattened into their own interfaces, deduplicated by a name
registry.
What happens to unsafe JSON keys?
Keys with special characters, kebab-case, or snake_case are sanitized to valid camelCase identifiers everywhere in the state shape, the initial state, and the action setters, so the generated code always compiles.
Do I need an account or internet connection to use it?
No. The tool runs client-side: your JSON never leaves the browser, and it works offline once the page is loaded.
